Beskrivning
Environmental Risks and Disposal of Nanomaterials: Navigating Exposure, Hazards, and Future Strategies offers a comprehensive overview of nanomaterials and their environmental impact, providing readers with a thorough understanding of their synthesis, behavior, risks, and management. Organized into five sections, the book begins with the fundamentals of nanomaterials, including their synthesis methods and environmental behavior across aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems, as well as their toxicity and implications for human health and sustainable development. The second section focuses on the environmental impact of specific types of nanomaterials, such as metallic, carbon-based, energetic, semiconductor, and biological nanoparticles, discussing their properties, applications, and ecological considerations. In the third section, emerging technologies and future potentials are discussed, including opportunities and risks associated with nanomaterials, the role of nanoplastics, and the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning in predicting nanotoxicity. The final sections address waste management, recovery, and remediation strategies, and review regulatory frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and real-world case studies that illustrate environmental impacts and safety challenges in the nanomaterials industry. This book is a valuable resource for researchers, environmental scientists, policymakers, and industry professionals interested on advancing safe and sustainable use of nanomaterials.

  • Discusses nanomaterial environmental risks, disposal methods, ecotoxicity, sustainable waste management, and circular economy
  • Features in-depth analysis of the regulatory framework governing nanomaterials, integrating practical and policy perspectives
  • Reviews application of artificial intelligence and machine learning in predicting nanotoxicity
