Lowell Gudmundson is associate professor and chair of the Latin American Studies Program at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts. Mario Samper Kutschbach teaches history at the Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica and at the Universidad de Costa Rica.
