The Arts have always been vital in teaching, and are the primary bases for religious communication: paleolithic cave paintings and artefacts long predate many scriptural sources. This major new series is designed to provide and understanding of the world's religions through the various art forms associated with religious practice and experience - whether the visual arts, dance, drama or music. In focusing on the importance of the art form in religious teaching and its role outside galleries and museums, this distinctive series moves beyond the traditional realms of religious art literature.
