Nicolas A. Valcik is currently the President and CEO of Trident 3J, L.L.C. as well as a consultant and former Managing Director of Institutional Research at Texas Tech University, USA. Prior to this he served as the Managing Director of Institutional Research at Texas Tech University, the Director of Institutional Research for West Virginia University, the Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness at Central Washington University, the Director of Institutional Research & Business Intelligence at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin and the Associate Director of Strategic Planning and Analysis at the University of Texas at Dallas. Additionally, Dr. Valcik worked as a non-tenured faculty member at both West Virginia University in Public Administration as well as the Higher Education department and in Public Affairs department at the University of Texas at Dallas. Dr. Valcik has recently been an athlete on the United States National Kata Team for USA Judo, competing in the Pan American Kata Championships in 2023 and 2024 as well as the World Kata Championship in 2024. Dr. Valcik is author, co-author, and editor of more than 20 books. He specializes in several areas as both a researcher and a practitioner including higher education, information technology, human resources, homeland security, organizational behavior, and emergency management.Steven A. Haynes is Assistant Professor of Practice and serves as Director of the Cybersecurity and Risk Management Program at the Naveen Jindal School of Management, University of Texas at Dallas, USA. In this role, he leads multiple undergraduate and graduate initiatives, including programs in cybersecurity and risk management, insurance technology, and professional development for emerging risk professionals. Dr. Haynes’ research and teaching interests center on systemic risk, accident causation theories, cyber risk governance, insurance technology, and decision-making under uncertainty. He has contributed to scholarly articles, book chapters, and practitioner-oriented texts addressing cyber risk, disaster response, insurance innovation, and operational resilience. He is actively involved in industry engagement, curriculum development, and mentorship of students pursuing careers in risk, insurance, and cybersecurity.Paul E. Tracy was Professor of Criminology and Criminal Justice and Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, USA, until his retirement. His research interests focused on legal and policy issues in juvenile justice, and he was a recognized expert in longitudinal research design. Prior to his time at UMASS Lowell, Dr. Tracy founded the Crime and Justice Studies program at the University of Texas, Dallas. Dr. Tracy passed away in January, 2020.
