Dr Edwards has written a lucid and engaging work which will be read and used by many but especially those in teacher education courses... His work is especially significant as he applies all the traditional academic disciplines namely history, philosophy, psychology and sociology to examine the relationship between education and technology. His overarching questions centre on whether technology in the classroom is a force for good which liberates us, whether it divides us and is it is always welcomed?... Staff and students in higher education will find something in his book which is sure to reverberate with their own experiences.
