Clarice Gomes is a watercolour artist and designer from Toronto, Canada. Her teaching journey started on YouTube and slowly evolved into in-person classes, retreats and a monthly watercolour membership. Her hope is that people fall in love with watercolour, using it as a creative outlet that is both relaxing and fun. This super-elementary guide will help you produce pleasing results quickly and without getting over-technical. In fact, you’ll find washes, blending and hues appearing almost naturally while you work on simple shapes that produce realistic and recognisable results. Success is always encouraging and you should find that you’re progressing faster than you think and want to explore further.I’m not sure there’s a lot more to say about this. It’s nicely done and reasonably priced. The reproduction is perhaps a little coarse in places, but you aren’t working with fine detail, so this is barely noticeable and in no way detracts from the book’s appeal.
