Hole in the Whole

A one-of-a-kind meditation on color and context, A Hole in the Whole by artist Eleonora Marton delights in the unexpected elements of life that make us whole.Inspired by Ruth Krauss’s A Moon or a Button, this artist’s book presents over thirty-seven pairs of identical circles, each set contrasted in size, meaning, and color. Marton’s accompanying text explores the surprising connections—or imaginative leaps—between them. With its playful yet profound juxtapositions of light and dark, serious and silly, this color-drenched journey invites readers to pause, reflect, and see the world anew. Featuring an exposed spine, cardboard cover, and sprayed edges, A Hole in the Whole is perfect for fans of wordplay and slightly absurd.
