Space–Time Computational Flow Analysis (STCFA) was developed in 1990 in the context of flows with moving boundaries and interfaces, which is a wide class of problems that includes fluid–particle interactions, fluid–structure interactions (FSI), and free-surface and multi-fluid flows.
Tayfun Tezduyar received his MS and PhD degrees from California Institute of Technology. He is Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Rice University. He has been working on Space-Time Computational Flow Analysis since 1990.Kenji Takizawa received his BS, MS, and PhD degrees from Tokyo Institute of Technology. He is Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Waseda University. He has been working on Space-Time Computational Flow Analysis since 2007.
