Currently, he chairs the Resilience Center for Tourism Researchers and Experts, an initiative fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange across disciplines. He is also the founder and president of the Marrakech International Conference on Tourism Research (MICTR) and the International Congress on Innovative Territories (CITI), two flagship events designed to advance scientific dialogue and innovation in tourism and territorial studies.Walter Leal Filho is a distinguished "Euro-Professor", holding professorial posts at Universities in Germany (Chair of Climate Change Management at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences), United Kingdom (Manchester Manchester Metropolitan University), Sweden (University of Uppsala) and Poland (Merito University).
