Gareth Jones is Deputy Vice Chancellor at the University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand, where he is also Professor of Anatomy and Structural Biology. His recent publications include Valuing People (1999), Designers of the Future (2005) and Medical Ethics (4th edn, 2005).
