Marianne Schüpbach is professor at the Department of Education and Psychology at Freie Universität Berlin.Till-Sebastian Idel is professor at the School of Education and Social Sciences at the University of Oldenbourg.Ingrid Gogolin is senior professor at the Faculty of Education, University of Hamburg.

• Research Overview.- Case studies of different forms and conceptions and different (historical) developments (e.g. different impetus, different objectives) of extended education from different countries around the world, characterized, situated in this field of extended education.- Comparison between different countries and its forms and concepts and/or historical developments in one country or between different countries.
