Dr. Debasis Mitra is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Department of Microbiology, Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Uttarakhand, India. Dr. Mitra has contributed to the practical application and formulation of beneficial plant growth-promoting microorganisms, both in laboratory settings and field environments, aimed at fostering sustainable crop production, protection, and development. He earned his PhD in microbiology from Raiganj University, West Bengal, India and ICAR-National Rice Research Institute (NRRI), Odisha, India. Dr. Mitra holds M.Sc. and B.Sc. in biotechnology from Graphic Era (Deemed to be University) and Oriental Institute of Science and Technology, Vidyasagar University, India, respectively. He has published more than 100 research and review papers in esteemed national and international journals, as well as contributed to 4 books and 40+ book chapters. Dr. Sergio de los Santos Villalobos works on the study of microbial ecology, interactions of plants - microorganisms - soil, microbial inoculants production by using agro-industrial wastes, and agro-ecosystems conversation using isotopic techniques. These topics are studied under an ecological, physiological, biochemical, and genetic approach (from in vitro to field conditions). Currently, he has published more than 130 scientific articles, 20 book chapters, and 5 edited books. In addition, he has registered two patents in the biotechnology area and one software. Dr. Anju Rani is currently serving as Professor and Head at Department of Microbiology, Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Uttarakhand, India. With over 15 years of experience in research and teaching, she has explored various aspects of microbiology. She has published several research articles in prestigious national and international peer-reviewed journals and edited books. Furthermore, her contributions extend to the field of patents, with two of her inventions having been published.Dr. Beatriz Elena Guerra Sierra is a microbiologist with M.Sc. and Doctor of Science degree. She is a full-time professor at the Universidad de Santander in Colombia, in the Facultad de Ciencias Naturales y Agropecuarias. Her research focuses on identifying and sustainably using microbial biodiversity, including bacteria and fungi, in soil-rhizosphere interactions. She mainly studies the symbiotic relationship between microorganisms and plants as well as the potential use of microorganisms as plant growth promoters, biocontrol, and bioremediation of soils contaminated by heavy metals and xenobiotics. Dr. Snežana Andjelković is currently serving as a senior researcher at Institute for Forage Crops Kruševac, Republic of Serbia from 2007. Before that, she worked in the biochemical laboratory of the Health Center in Kruševac as a graduate biologist from 2003 to 2005. She graduated from the Faculty of Science, Department of Biology, and University of Pristina in 2001. She obtained her master's degree from the Faculty of Science, University of Priština in 2007, and her PhD from the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Novi Sad, in 2013.
