Professor Kerry J. Kennedy is Chair Professor and Advisor (Academic Development) at The Education University of Hong Kong. He is also a Distinguished Visiting Professor in the Faculty of Education,University of Johannesburg, South Africa. His research interests are curriculum policy and theory with a special focus on civic and citizenship education. Professor Kennedy is a Co-Editor of the Routledge International Handbook of Life and Values Education in Asia and the Series Editor of the Routledge Series on Schools and Schooling in Asia, as well as the Asia-Europe Education Dialogue Series and Perspectives on Education in Asia. He is the Series Editor of SpringerBriefs on Civic and Citizenship Education in the 21st Century, and Co-Editor of the Springer Series on Governance and Citizenship in Asia. He is a Fellow of the Australian College of Educators, and a Life Member of the Australian Curriculum Studies Association. In 2012,he was the co-winner of the Richard M. Wolf Memorial Award for educational research, presented by the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA). In 2018, he was the recipient of Outstanding Achievement Award from the Children’s Identity and Citizenship European Association.
