Why have large-scale protests and mass demonstrations in some post-socialist Eurasian states led to the fall of autocratic leaders, whereas similar other regimes prevail? This book addresses the question by providing an overview of eight cases of so-called Color Revolutions, and explains factors of ‘success’ and ‘failure’ by discussing the state-of-the-art in the political science discourse on Color Revolutions. It concludes by summarizing and contextualizing the results of the analysis and highlighting open research for political science on the theme of Color Revolutions.

Schulpolitik, Universitat zu Koln, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Arbeit beschaftigt sich mit den Chancen und Herausforderungen, welcher der Einsatz von Tieren im schulischen Kontext mit sich bringt. Der Betrachtungsschwerpunkt liegt hierbei nicht nur aus personlichem Interesse der Autorin, sondern auch aufgrund der steigenden Zahlen der Einsatze beim Hund in der Schule. Tiere stellen mittlerweile in vielen padagogischen, aber auch therapeutischen Bereichen eine Losung dar. Tiergestutzte Interventionen gibt es bereits seit vielen Jahrzehnten und erfreuen sich immer gro erer Beliebtheit im therapeutischen Rahmen. In den letzten 20 Jahren hat sich der Erfolg aus der Therapie auch in padagogischen Kreisen herumgesprochen, welchen sich nun immer mehr Lehrer und Lehrerinnen in Schulen zu Nutze machen. Das Lernen mit Tieren in der Schule wird haufig belachelt. So mancher bezeichnet es als Schmuse- oder Kuschelpadagogik und vergisst dabei, dass die Schule nicht nur die reine Wissensvermittlung, sondern auch die Personlichkeitsbildung zum Ziel hat.

Schulpolitik, Note: 1,0, Universitat zu Koln, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Arbeit behandelt die Frage, ob und inwiefern Solidaritat im Schulsystem integriert wird. Dabei wird zunachst analysiert, was der Solidaritatsbegriff bedeutet. Danach wird beschrieben, wie Solidaritat im Schulsystem integriert ist, bezogen auf den Lehrplan und auf die Umsetzung im Unterricht. Das darauffolgende Kapitel untersucht die kontrovers diskutierte inklusive Schule wie auch ihre Merkmale und erortert die Funktionen in Bezug auf ein solidarisches Schulsystem in Deutschland. Des Weiteren werden daraufhin unterschiedliche Unterrichtsformen erklart, welche sich besonders auf eine solidarische Arbeitsweise der Schulerinnen und Schuler konzentriert. Im letzten Kapitel werden die Schulsysteme Frankreichs, Luxemburgs und Finnlands beleuchtet, um unterschiedliche Herangehensweisen anderer Lander im internationalen Vergleich in puncto Solidaritat zu untersuchen. Abschlie end bewertet das Fazit die derzeitige Situation des deutschen Schulsystems in Bezug auf ihre Solidaritatsvermittlung.

The Role of Religion in Eastern Europe Today” deals with the (re-)emergence of religion in Eastern Europe and its impact on the economy, the society, and the state in 15 essays. The authors represent various fields of science related to human interaction – Economics, Political Science, Sociology, and Law. The added value is an up-to-date and interdisciplinary perspective on religion and its effects in major spheres of the societies in Eastern Europe today.
