Dieses Geschehen aber ermöglicht erst die neue Wirklichkeit zwischen Gott und Mensch; der Glaube, der aus dem Hören der Schrift kommt, ist ein neues Sich-selbst-Verstehen vor Gott.Wo nämlich der Rezipient allererst zum Rezipierten wird, ereignet sich Gott in der Welt, genauer im Menschen; hier wird die Bibelauslegung zum sakramentalen Geschehen des Wortes Gottes, das den Menschen in seinem ganzen Leben zur Antwort aufruft: zur aktiven Teilhabe am Reich Gottes.Bonhoeffers theologische Hermeneutik ist damit zugleich eine anthropologische. Weil sich in der Erkenntnissuche des Menschen, der von der Schrift ergriffen wird, ein Subjekt- und darin Objektwechsel vollzieht, der Mensch also nicht die Schrift auslegt, sondern die Schrift den Menschen, ist zugleich von einer hermeneutischen Anthropologie zu sprechen.
