A DLE follows the idea of establishing an interlinkage between decentralised learning ecosystems (consisting of content repositories and educational resources) and thus serves as an integrated approach that enables learners to access and use learning content and share resources.

In diesem Buch stellen wir die biographische Entwicklung von beruflich erfolgreichen Personen dar, die ein Studium ohne Abitur aufnehmen und abschließen konnten. Die qualitativ-empirische Studie stellt dabei deren Lebensgeschichte ausgehend von den Vorfahren über die Herkunftsfamilie bis in das Erwachsenenalter in den Mittelpunkt der Analyse. Untersucht werden das raum-zeitliche Milieu, die Familienverhältnisse, die Schulbesuche, die berufliche Ausbildung, der Übergang an die Universität durch die Absolvierung einer Zulassungsprüfung (Z-Prüfung/„Dritter Bildungsweg"e;) sowie die sich daran anschließende berufliche Karriere. Die Erhebung der Autobiographien erfolgte mithilfe des narrativen Interviews, die Auswertung im Anschluss an die objektive Hermeneutik. Der Text richtet sich sowohl an jene Personen, die sich mit Bildungs- und Berufsbiographien beschäftigen als auch an jene, die im Bereich der Hochschulforschung tätig sind.
