This book describes a novel approach to the study of Siegel modular forms of degree two with paramodular level. It introduces the family of stable Klingen congruence subgroups of GSp(4) and uses this family to obtain new relations between the Hecke eigenvalues and Fourier coefficients of paramodular newforms, revealing a fundamental dichotomy for paramodular representations. After Pyatetski-Shapiro[PS1] and Satake [Sa1] introduced, independent of one another, an early form of the Jacobi Theory in 1969 (while not naming it as such), this theory was given a de?nite push by the book The Theory of Jacobi Forms by Eichler and Zagier in 1985. Now, there are some overview articles describing the developments in the theory of the Jacobigroupandits autom- phic forms, for instance by Skoruppa[Sk2], Berndt [Be5] and Kohnen [Ko]. We refertotheseformorehistoricaldetailsandmanymorenamesofauthorsactive inthistheory,whichstretchesnowfromnumbertheoryandalgebraicgeometry to theoretical physics. Now, letting completely aside the arithmetical and algebraic geometrical - proach to Jacobi forms developed and instrumentalized by Kramer [Kr], we ix x Introduction will treat here a certain representation theoretic point of view for the Jacobi theory parallel to the theory of Jacquet-Langlands [JL] for GL(2) as reported by Godement [Go2], Gelbart [Ge1] and, recently, Bump [Bu].

But let us only briefly indicate several - sometimes very closely related - topics touched by Jacobi theory as we see it: * fields of meromorphic and rational functions on the universal elliptic curve resp. universal abelian variety * structure and projective embeddings of certain algebraic varieties and homogeneous spaces * correspondences between different kinds of modular forms * L-functions associated to different kinds of modular forms and autom- phic representations * induced representations * invariant differential operators * structure of Hecke algebras * determination of generalized Kac-Moody algebras and as a final goal related to the here first mentioned * mixed Shimura varieties and mixed motives.

Local Newforms for GSp(4) describes a theory of new- and oldforms for representations of GSp(4) over a non-archimedean local field. This theory considers vectors fixed by the paramodular groups, and singles out certain vectors that encode canonical information, such as L-factors and epsilon-factors, through their Hecke and Atkin-Lehner eigenvalues. While there are analogies to the GL(2) case, this theory is novel and unanticipated by the existing framework of conjectures. An appendix includes extensive tables about the results and the representation theory of GSp(4).

Dieses Buch gibt einen Überblick über die wichtigsten Bereiche zur Entwicklung und Konstruktion elektronischer Geräte, zusammengefasst unter dem Begriff Elektronik Design, und beginnt mit der Bereitstellung des Stromlaufplans.In zunehmendem Maße erfordert die Realisierung von Elektronik durch immer kleinere Bauelemente, die direkte Verarbeitung von Halbleiterchips, zunehmende Taktfrequenzen und Verlustleistungen interdisziplinäre Betrachtungen von Design, Technologien und Werkstoffen. Aus diesem Grund wurde den Darstellungen der Technologien größerer Raum gegeben.Die Kapitel sind so gestaltet, dass sie auch einzeln für sich gelesen werden können. In der Erziehungswissenschaft, der Psychologie und den Fachdidaktiken wird der Selbstorganisation und der Selbststeuerung des Lernens große Beachtung geschenkt. Die Frage, wie man diese Zielsetzung auf den Schulalltag beziehen kann, findet wenig befriedigende Antworten. Theoretisch werden die Befähigung zu Selbstbestimmung, Mitbestimmung und Solidarität als Kernbereiche Allgemeiner Bildung ausgewiesen, werden Schüler- und Handlungsorientierung gefordert. Praktisch wird eine so definierte Unterrichtsgestaltung bis in die gymnasiale Oberstufe hinein von Lehrenden und Lernenden vielfach nicht als methodische Zielsetzung wahrgenommen. Daß Selbstbestimmung, Selbstorganisation und Selbsttätigkeit im Unterricht immer nur über einen Ausbau von Schülermitbeteiligung erfolgen kann, ist ein Ergebnis der vorliegenden Forschungsarbeit. Über allgemeindidaktische und fachdidaktische Problemdarstellungen und exemplarische Analysen von drei Unterrichtsstunden in den Fächern Englisch, Geschichte und Chemie wird entfaltet, welche fachgebundenen Formen der Schülermitbeteiligung bestimmt werden können. Die Unterrichtsdokumentationen werden mit Hilfe qualitativer Ansätze interpretiert, durch leitfadengestützte Lehrerinterviews und Schülergruppendiskussionen erweitert und in einem Verfahren methodischer Triangulation überprüft.

Das Buch stellt die Ergebnisse eines Projektes vor, das erstmalig das Verhältnis von Jugendlichen im Schul- und Berufsschulalter zu Demokratie, Politik und politischer Bildung in einer quantitativen repräsentativen Studie sowie ergänzend und vertiefend in einer qualitativen Studie im Bundesland Sachsen-Anhalt untersucht hat.
