My vill inte bada.

What if philosophy could solve the psychological puzzle of trauma? Embodied Trauma and Healing argues just that, suggesting that one might be needed in order to understand the other. The book demonstrates how the body-mind problem that haunted Descartes was addressed by phenomenologists, whilst also proposing that the human experience is lived subjectively as embodied consciousness.
Throughout this book, the author suggests that the phenomenological tools that are used to explore the body can also be an effective way to discuss the physical and mental aspects of embodied trauma. Drawing on the work of Paul Ricœur, Maurice Merleau-Ponty and Emmanuel Lévinas, the book outlines a phenomenological approach to the embodied and relational subject. It offers a reading of embodied trauma that can connect it to wider conversations in psychological underpinnings of trauma through Peter Levine’s somatic research and Bessel van der Kolk’s embodied remembering. Connecting to the analytic tradition, the book suggests that phenomenology can unify both language-based and body-based therapeutic practice. It also presents a compelling discussion that ties the embodied experience of relation in trauma to the wider causal factors of social suffering and relational rupture, intergenerational trauma and the trauma of land, as informed by phenomenology.
Embodied Trauma and Healing is essential reading for researchers within the fields of philosophy, psychology and medical humanities for it actively engages with contemporary configurations of trauma theory and recent research developments in healing and mental disorder diagnosis.

Arising from the fourth Dagstuhl conference entitled Visualization and Processing of Tensors and Higher Order Descriptors for Multi-Valued Data (2011), this book offers a broad and vivid view of current work in this emerging field. Topics covered range from applications of the analysis of tensor fields to research on their mathematical and analytical properties.
Part I, Tensor Data Visualization, surveys techniques for visualization of tensors and tensor fields in engineering, discusses the current state of the art and challenges, and examines tensor invariants and glyph design, including an overview of common glyphs.
The second Part, Representation and Processing of Higher-order Descriptors, describes a matrix representation of local phase, outlines mathematical morphological operations techniques, extended for use in vector images, and generalizes erosion to the space of diffusion weighted MRI.
Part III, Higher Order Tensors and Riemannian-Finsler Geometry, offers powerful mathematical language to model and analyze large and complex diffusion data such as High Angular Resolution Diffusion Imaging (HARDI) and Diffusion Kurtosis Imaging (DKI).
A Part entitled Tensor Signal Processing presents new methods for processing tensor-valued data, including a novel perspective on performing voxel-wise morphometry of diffusion tensor data using kernel-based approach, explores the free-water diffusion model, and reviews proposed approaches for computing fabric tensors, emphasizing trabecular bone research.
The last Part, Applications of Tensor Processing, discusses metric and curvature tensors, two of the most studied tensors in geometry processing. Also covered is a technique for diagnostic prediction of first-episode schizophrenia patients based on brain diffusion MRI data. The last chapter presents an interactive system integrating the visual analysis of diffusion MRI tractography with data from electroencephalography.

This is the exciting story of Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe one of Sweden's most important 20th century silversmiths and master jewellery designer and her life.
The watch with an open bracelet and a mirror dial withour numbers made the silversmith and jewellery designer Torun Bülow-Hübe world-famous. Her innovative, daring, yet elegantly restrained jewellery has captivated people across the world.
Torun's jewellery was a great success in 1950s and 1960s Paris. The Parisian cafes were the place for that era's celebrated intellectuals Sartre, Picasso, Bardot, Ingrid Bergman Torun met them all, while writers and jazz musicians became her friends, and all the artistic and creative world wanted her creations. Newspapers and magazines competed for the chance to photograph the stunning silversmith wearing her own jewellery.
In 1967 Torun entered into partnership with Georg Jensen Silver, and her jewellery became accessible and known all over the world a collaboration now spanning more than 50 years.
Torun's jewellery remains timelessly modern. But who was she? Here, in intimate conversation with her friend and confidant, author Ann Westin, she reveals her life story and the driving forces behind her lifelong creative work.
Ann Westin is and art historian and well-known former gallery owner and has been at the centre of the Swedish art world and Stockholm art scene for over 50 years. She served as a member of the Board of Friends of Nationalmuseum in Stockholm 2013 2021 and is currently member of the board of a number of art and music institutions. She has been an admirer of Torun's work since the late 1950s and a close friend of the artist since the 1990s.
She is the author of several articles and forewords in Swedish publications. She regularly organises specifically themed trips to Europe for art and architecture enthusiasts.
