Dr. Rayees Ul Islam Assistant Professor Department of Post Harvest Engineering and Technology AMU, Aligarh, India Dr. Rayees Ul Islam is an accomplished academic and researcher in the field of Food Processing Technology. He currently holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Post-Harvest Engineering & Technology at Aligarh Muslim University in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India. Dr. Islam completed his Ph.D. in Post-Harvest Engineering and Technology from Aligarh Muslim University, where his research focused on studying the effects of beetroot and tomato powder incorporation on the quality characteristics and shelf life of chicken meat patties. With a strong educational background, Dr. Islam also holds a Master's degree in Food Engineering and Bachelor's degree in Food Technology. Dr. Islam's academic and research journey spans over a decade, during which he gained extensive experience in both teaching and research. He has served as a Senior Research Fellow in the Livestock Products Technology Department at Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences in Hisar, Haryana. Additionally, he has held positions as an Assistant Professor at various institutions, including Aligarh Muslim University, Gautam Buddha University, and Integral University, India. Throughout his career, Dr. Islam has made significant contributions to the field of food science and technology. He has published numerous research articles in reputable journals, covering topics such as the optimization of food processing techniques, Sustainable Packaging, Food waste utilization, Development of fiber-enriched meat products, Effects of plant derivatives on meat processing and packaging etc. Dr. Islam is currently editing a book entitled ''Innovative Food Processing Techniques: Enhancing Safety, Quality, And Shelf-Life (ISBN 978-1-032-75596-0)'', in CRC press, Taylor & Francis Group. With his vast knowledge and experience, Dr. Rayees Ul Islam continues to contribute to the advancement of the field of Food Processing Technology, striving to improve the quality and safety of food products through his research, teaching, and mentoring activities.Dr. Swaleha Naseem Assistant Professor Interdisciplinary Nanotechnology Centre AMU, Aligarh, India Dr. Swaleha Naseem is an Assistant Professor at the Interdisciplinary Nanotechnology Centre within the Faculty of Engineering & Technology at Aligarh Muslim University, India. Dr. Swaleha obtained her Bachelor of Science and M.Sc. degrees in Physics from Aligarh Muslim University, India, and later completed her Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), collaborating with The Ohio State University in the USA, specializing in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics. Her doctoral thesis focused on investigating the microstructural, optical, electrical, and magnetic properties of pristine/doped TiO2 nanostructures and their photocatalytic applications. She has additionally attained a Post Graduate Diploma in Nanotechnology from AMU. With a total of 11 years of combined teaching and research experience, Dr. Naseem has demonstrated expertise in various areas, including nano-oxide materials, ferrites, topological materials, graphene and its nanocomposites, perovskites, nanoparticles, and thin films deposition by MBE. Her research interests also encompass a range of characterization techniques such as Thermogravimetric analysis, Raman and FTIR spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectrophotometers, advanced electron microscopies, and investigation of optical, thermal, electrical, and magnetic properties Dr. Naseem's research explores into the interdisciplinary realms of nanotechnology, particularly in energy storage, energy conversion, health and food applications. Her research findings have been published through reputable peer-reviewed international journals such as Applied Surface Science, Journal of Luminescence, Ceramics International, Neuropharmacology, Progress in Organic Coatings, and Journal of Electronic Materials, etc. Additionally, she has supervised over 15 postgraduate (M.Tech Nanotechnology) students. Dr. Naseem has actively presented her research findings in numerous national and international conferences, including research visits to the United States of America. She has garnered several fellowships and awards from prestigious institutions like CSIR, UGC, and USIEF. Her current scientific pursuits revolve around nanotechnology, with a specific focus on synthesizing and characterizing nanocomposites, graphene-based nanomaterials, diluted magnetic semiconductors, transition metal chalcogenides, and metal nanocomposites. She has organized numerous international webinars focusing on various aspects of Nanotechnology, spanning themes such as Health, Nanomedicine, Energy, and Nanocomposites. Additionally, she has spearheaded a National workshop centered on Advanced Characterization Techniques and Applications of Nanomaterials.Dr. Sadaf Zaidi Professor Department of Post Harvest Engineering and Technology AMU, Aligarh, India Prof. Zaidi is an academician and researcher with a career spanning over 35 years. He obtained his Bachelor of Science and M. Tech. degrees in Chemical Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University, India, and later earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the same institution while in service. Since joining Aligarh Muslim University as a Lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering in 1988, Prof. Zaidi has been actively involved in both teaching and research. In 2018, Prof. Zaidi transitioned to the Department of Post Harvest Engineering and Technology within the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at Aligarh Muslim University, where he currently holds the position of Professor. Over the years, he has supervised the research work of 23 M. Tech. and 6 Ph.D. students, and he continues to mentor 3 M. Tech. and 5 Ph.D. students presently. Prof. Zaidi's research interests are diverse, covering areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Food Engineering, Renewable Energy, Waste Management, and Modelling and Simulation. His contributions to academia are evidenced by his extensive publication record, with 44 research papers in esteemed journals including "Chemical Engineering Science," "Process Safety and Environment Protection," "Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering," "Waste Management & Research," "Scientific Reports," and "Journal of Food Science and Technology," among others. Prof. Zaidi has co-authored two knowledge-based books, which have been published by reputed publishers Nova Science Publishers Inc. and Springer. He has also contributed 15 chapters to knowledge-based books published by reputed publishers like Nova Science Publishers Inc., Springer, Apple Academic and CRC Press, Intech Open, etc. He has been granted a patent for a fully automatic vacuum dryer with a data recorder, showcasing his innovative contributions to his field. Prof. Zaidi's dedication to academic excellence extends beyond research and teaching. He has played a significant role in curriculum and laboratory development, having developed undergraduate and postgraduate courses, as well as a crucial postgraduate laboratory. Additionally, he has collaborated with various departments within the university to enhance their academic offerings. Prof. Zaidi's contributions have been recognized both nationally and internationally, as evidenced by his appointment as the Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator for a program between Universitatea Politehnica Timişoara, Romania, and Aligarh Muslim University. He held the post of Chairman, Department of Post Harvest Engineering and Technology from 2021-2023. Moreover, his leadership roles as the Provost of leading hostel of the University underscore his commitment to fostering a supportive academic environment.
