Healthy Ageing in a Digital World offers a holistic approach to understanding the challenges of ageing populations, digital transformation, and health development/health equity in the Nordics.The authors explore how citizens in Denmark, Finland, and Sweden, aged 75 to 101, use digital technology in their daily lives for health and well-being, and how health professionals in the Nordic context navigate digital solutions in their interactions with older citizens. Helena Sandberg is a professor of Media and Communication Studies at the Department of Communication, Lund University, Sweden. Her work is characterised by interdisciplinarity and multimethodology, and investigates digital technologies, digital media cultures, and everyday practices across the entire lifespan, from young children to the oldest old. She has extensive expertise in media and health, health communication, and digital health technologies.Anette Grønning is an associate professor in digital communication at the Department for the Study of Design, Media and Educational Science, University of Southern Denmark (SDU). Her work focuses on digital communication, email, video, and chat, primarily in workplace settings, with particular interests in mediated discourse, digital participation, and social presence in health communication. She has published widely on media and health, health communication, and digital health technologies.
