'The authors, themselves highly experienced both in the Further Education Sector and in the training and development of its teachers, provide, in this book, a comprehensive guide for teachers’ development. This unique, and long overdue evidence-based guidance blends the practical with the theoretical and supports teachers on their journey from initial training throughout their careers. It will be indispensable to newly qualified FE teachers undertaking professional development and formation leading, for many, to the completion of Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS); more established FE teachers who may desire or be required to engage in CPD, as well as more experienced FE teachers who may be seeking further qualification/recognition such as Advanced Teacher Status (ATS). It will also act as an important resource for those involved in the support and development of these teachers: managers, mentors, coaches, staff development tutors, teacher educators.'Andy Armitage, Education Consultant, Formerly, Head of Post-Compulsory Education and Training, Canterbury Christ Church University, UK‘This book provides an insightful and highly relevant exploration of contemporary professional development within the Further Education and Skills sector. Drawing on current policy, research, and practice, the authors address key themes including teacher educator identity, subject pedagogy, inclusive practice, artificial intelligence, resilience, and career-long professional learning. It will serve as an invaluable resource for teacher educators, trainee teachers, lecturers, and educational leaders seeking to enhance their professional knowledge and impact’.Dr Sarah Telfer, Associate Teaching Professor in Education, University of Greater Manchester
