Brown, Ph.D. is a research associate at the University of California environmental Studies Program and part-time project specialist with the Mono Lake Committee. works with his head and his hands on the East Side of California's Sierra Nevada Mountains. He has also worked as a journalist and as a researcher for the National Park Service and the American Society for Environmental History.
