An industry once dominated at a product level by engineering and a management level by fmance is becoming a cross functional, customer oriented industry. Understanding the links from quality to satisfaction to retention has become a key to financial and organizational success as the automotive industry enters the new millennium. We are fortunate, in this regard, to have assembled a diverse group of both academic and automotive industry contributors to offer a variety of insights into these links. After describing the ongoing changes in the automotive industry in more detail, this introductory chapter describes a framework for linking quality, satisfaction, and retention. The framework is used to introduce each of the individual chapters and highlight its contribution. Although our primary emphasis is on the automotive industry, the implications of the research and lessons learned extend far beyond. Uberwiegend Millennials werden durch die einfache Handhabung der App an die Borse gefuhrt. Die jungen Investoren uben haufig ihren ersten gut bezahlten Beruf aus, allerdings weisen sie noch nicht viel Erfahrung an den Borsen auf. Durch den niedrigen Tagesgeldzinssatz, der seit 2017 bei 0 % liegt, suchen immer mehr Privatanleger andere Formen der Geldanlage. Der Kapitalmarkt bietet den Anlegern Chancen und Risiken. Allerdings gibt es einige Pramissen, die fur die Kapitalanlage beachtet werden sollten. So ist die Unsicherheit bei der Geldanlage in Aktien gro , da es immer wieder zu gro en Crashs und Korrekturen am Kapitalmarkt kommt. Daher liegt die Aktionarsquote in Deutschland nur bei 17,5 %, allerdings ist die Zahl der Aktionare in Deutschland in den letzten Jahren stetig gestiegen. Grade die Geldanlage in ETF wird in Deutschland immer beliebter. So ist beispielsweise die Zahl der Fondssparer im Jahr 2020 im Vergleich zum Vorjahr von 7,1 Millionen Menschen um 2,2 Millionen auf 9,3 Millionen angestiegen. Ein ETF ist ein borsengehandelter Investmentfonds, der im engeren Sinne bspw. einen Aktienindex wie den S&P 500 passiv nachbildet. Allerdings kann die Kapitalmarkttheorie nur Grundlagen liefern, da das Verhalten der Marktteilnehmer nicht immer dem Verhalten entspricht, das in der Theorie angenommen wird. Die Behavioral Finance untersucht das Verhalten der Akteure am Kapitalmarkt und zeigt psychologische und soziologische Faktoren, die beachtet bzw. vermieden werden sollen. Die Grundlagen sollen dabei helfen, dass die Kapitalmarkttheorie unterstutzt wird. Zudem soll diese dabei unterstutzen, das Verhalten der Privatanleger zu verstehen, dieses zu reflektieren und aus den Fehlern und aus der Vergangenheit zu lernen, um fur die Zukunft gewappnet zu sein.
