This book provides an expert guide to the Data Governance Act (DGA), giving an authoritative and rigorous overview of its reach and scope. The DGA establishes a legal framework for the use and sharing of data across all sectors, from industrial to mobility and health data to public sector data. It also aims to strengthen trust in the institutions through which data can be shared.In this book, the mechanisms, regulations and instruments introduced by the DGA are explained in a comprehensible manner. In addition, the interaction between the DGA, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the planned Data Act is explained in detail, enabling data intermediaries, data altruistic organisations and public bodies to offer their services in compliance with the legal requirements.
