Sena dikterinnehåller samtliga dikter ur Wislawa Szymborskas tre sista diktsamlingar Ett kolon, Häroch Nog nu, alla översatta av Anders Bodegård. Oavsett om hon möter sig själv som ung, samtalar med inspirationen eller funderar över konstens och litteraturens roll i historien gör Szymborska det med samma nyktra distans och milda ironi. I hennes diktvärld, där vardagslivet ofta står i centrum, finns alltid ett stort mått av tröst och hopp. Till denna utgåva har Agneta Pleijel skrivit ett tänkvärt förord i dialogform.

Wislawa Szymborska (1923–2012) växte upp i Kraków i Polen och bodde där i större delen av sitt liv. Hon debuterade 1945 och har blivit översatt till ett fyrtiotal olika språk. Hennes dikter präglas av stor integritet och anspråkslöshet och har kommit att älskas av läsare över hela världen. 1996 tilldelades hon Nobelpriset i litteratur.

Utgivningen ingår i det förlagsöverskridande projektet ”Nobelkvinnor” en gemensam publicering av samtliga de fjorton kvinnor som fått Nobelpriset i Litteratur.

Människans liv kantas av psykiska kriser. En del utlösta av plötsliga och oväntade, svåra händelser; andra hör det normala livet till. Krisen är ofta en förutsättning för utveckling och mognad, men den kan också leda till livslång psykisk invaliditet om inte den drabbade får sakkunnig hjälp

Det är trettio år sedan den första utgåvan av Johan Cullbergs klassiska bok Kris och utveckling kom 1975. Den har lästs och uppskattats av hundratusentals svenskar - såväl av studenter som av människor som själva befinner sig i kris eller kommer i kontakt med människor i krislägen. Den har också översatts till flera andra språk.

Mycket i samhället, liksom inom psykiatrin, har förändrats. Det har inneburit att en omarbetning av boken känts angelägen, även om grundstrukturen står kvar. Kvar står också den hoppfulla synen på krisen som en hävstång för den mänskliga utvecklingen. Boken har kompletterats med ett avsnitt om katastrofpsykiatri och sena stressreaktioner av docent Tom Lundin.

SENA SKRIFTER är en del i Symposions stora statsning på en vetenskapligt baserad utgivning av Nietzsches samlade verk på svenska. Efter mer än tjugo år är projektet fullbordat. Detta band innehåller de sista sex skrifterna som Nietzsche färdigställde för publicering. Bland dessa finns några av hans viktigaste och mest kända texter, uppgörelsen med Wagner och dekadensen i konsten Fallet Wagner respektive Nietzsche kontra Wagner) och Avgudaskymning, som han själv beskriver som sin filosofi i ett nötskal. Antikrist, hans oförsonliga kritik av kristendomen och moderna värderingar överhuvudtaget och hans egensinniga självbiografi Ecce homo. Bandet avslutas med en samling dikter, Dionysos-dityramber, samt noter och efterord.

August Strindbergs sena verk skapas av sticket från "motsägelsens tagg". Och för att hela tiden kunna säga emot och tala annorlunda, experimenterar Strindberg med skrivandet: mästerverk som kammarspelen blandas med nonsenspoesi och absurditeter, med utrop och utfall. Ständigt skriver han listor, inventerar, förtecknar, administrerar sig själv och sitt författarskap. Han efterforskar och utreder och med denna blandning av språk och hållningar, av reaktionärt och radikalt, blir han den som pekar fram mot en senare tids litteratur. 

Paradoxografi: Strindbergs sena verk öppnar en rad olika ingångar till den svenska litteraturens viktigaste författarskap. 

Ulf Olsson har skrivit flera uppma rksammade bo cker om August Strindberg, liksom bo cker om Lars Nore n, Birgitta Trotzig och Grateful Dead. Han a r professor emeritus i litteraturvetenskap vid Stockholms universitet.

I år är det hundra år sedan poeten Paul Celan (1920–1970) föddes. "Det sena verket" består av Celans fem sista diktsamlingar och en extra svit – tidigare har inga av hans samlingar förutom Andningsvändning (1967), den som inleder "Det sena verket", översatts i sin helhet. 50–60 år efter deras tillkomst ter sig dessa dikter kanske mer angelägna än någonsin. Inte nödvändigtvis för att vi nu kan blicka tillbaka på dem på avstånd, utan för att vi börjar hinna ifatt dem. I översättning av Anders Olsson med redaktörskap av Gabriel Itkes-Sznap samt med kommentarer av dem båda.

1868 utkom premiärupplagan av Läsebok för folkskolan, som var en av de första massproducerade svenska läroböckerna. Den fick ett snabbt genomslag och användes i undervisningen på folkskolor, läroverk, lärarseminarier och folkhögskolor. Med hjälp av Folkskolans Läsebok som den också ofta benämndes skulle barn och ungdomar lära sig läsa och skriva på modersmålet samt inhämta det mest centrala vad gäller moraliska värderingar och tänkesätt, nationell identitet och geografi, kultur och historia, naturvetenskaplig elementa samt om världen utanför Sverige.

Kort sagt skulle Läsebok för folkskolan forma och utbilda Sveriges unga invånare under en tid kännetecknad av massnationalism, kritik mot Svenska kyrkan, industrialisering, skolpedagogiska reformer och kamp om utökade politiska, sociala och ekonomiska rättigheter. Denna bok handlar om just detta, det vill säga om hur Folkskolans Läsebok under det sena 1800- och tidiga 1900-talet utgjorde ett nationellt bildningsverktyg då motsättningarna mellan ett undersåte- och medborgar-Sverige alltmer ställdes på sin spets.

Under de 45 år då det Sahlgrenska sjukhuset låg vid Grönsakstorget i Göteborg skedde stora förändringar i samhället.  De anställda saknade från början helt socialt skyddsnät men fick successivt ökande förmåner i form av semester, sjuklön och pension. Samtidigt gjordes stora framsteg inom kirurgin när infektioner bekämpades och undveks, och inom medicinen då vävnader undersöktes mikroskopiskt och man började mätta temperatur, blodtryck och blodvärde.

I denna bok ges en närgången skildring av enskilda anställda och deras verksamhet, sjuksköterskor, baderskor, tvätterskor, sjukhuskommissarier, hushållerskor, drängar, eldare, maskinister, predikanter och läkare.
