Die Kantforschung hat die Reaktion der Zeitgenossen auf Kants „Metaphysische Anfangsgründe der Rechtslehre" bisher kaum untersucht. Vorliegende Edition macht die insgesamt 27 Rezensionen zum ersten Mal zugänglich. Der Band enthält zudem eine Bibliographie der Kantkommentare und weiterer zeitgenössischer Quellen, ferner drei Beiträge zur Rezeption der Rechtslehre Kants um 1800 und den Hintergründen der seither vernachlässigten Forschung.
