Nya Karolinska Solna (NKS) har fått stor medial uppmärksamhet under senare år. Sjukhusbygget har pågått under lång tid, rymt en stor budget och berört många människor. Boken handlar om de idéer som har varit betydelsefulla i beslutsprocesserna, om de aktörer som har agerat i dessa processer och om hur processerna har organiserats och kontrollerats. Ambitionen är att öka förståelsen för och kunskapen om den typ av komplexa beslutsprocesser som kännetecknar megaprojekt som NKS. Projektet har bedrivits vid Stockholms universitet i ett samarbete mellan Statsvetenskapliga institutionen, Stockholms centrum för forskning om offentlig sektor (Score) och Kulturgeografiska institutionen.
