Lars Andersson – författare

Göran Tunström (1937-2000) var en författare som lyckades befinna sig konstant i rörelse och bli genuint folkkär på samma gång. Tidigt i livet och tidigt faderlös gav han sig ut i världen. Grekland blev hans första fasta hem bortom hemmet, i synnerhet ön Hydra, där han knöt livslång vänskap med en kanadensisk författare som få hade hört talas om då: Leonard Cohen.

Tunström debuterade som poet 1958 med Inringning, och fick sitt första mindre genombrott fyra år senare med Maskrosbollen det närmaste man kan komma en svensk Räddaren i nöden. Han fick en stor läsekrets med den självbiografiska Prästungen (1976), där han bland annat skildrar barndomstraumat med faderns alltför tidiga död. Men det var med Juloratoriet (1983) som han blev en av Sveriges mest kända och älskade författare, en roman som öppnade dörren till hans litterära landskap, barndomsorten Sunne i Värmland, på vid gavel. Han var tillsammans med sin hustru konstnären Lena Cronqvist den svenska kulturens verkliga power couple under den här tiden.

Men vägen till Sunne hade han slagit in på redan i början av sjuttiotalet med romanen De heliga geograferna. Ett Sunne som var både en befintlig och en mytisk plats, barndomsvärld och psykisk besvärjelse, men också framstiget med sin alldeles egna, skimrande självklarhet ur resorna till Grekland, Nordafrika, Mexiko och Guatemala. Och det var redan med den här relativt bortglömda berättelsen som Göran Tunström visade att han var en romankonstens verkliga mästare. Enligt författaren Lars Anderssons mening är den boken Göran Tunströms kanske allra främsta verk.

Vacker och rolig bok att ge bort!

Country skjuter skott åt en mängd olika håll. Den gränsar mot en mängd andra genrer. Och den väcker en mängd olika känslor.

I Frugan drog, hunden dog och sedan fick jag sparken placerar tio författare countrymusiken i ett historisk, politiskt och socialt sammanhang och visar att genren är mycket mer och mycket annat än titelns schablon.

Projektet tar sin början i ett översättarmöte i Bergslagen, närmare bestämt med en av deltagarnas plötsliga bortgång, Hallbergs vän Erland Anderson. Boken utvecklas till en resa i minnet, både i livet och i konsten; själva skrivandet blir en protest mot döden: »räddning«. Äldre och nyare texter och intervjuer om Hallberg och hans konstnärliga praxis som fiktionsförfattare och översättare av Walter Benjamin och de stora dramatikerna fyller ut bilden och gör den allmängiltig. Med finns också relevanta texter om helt andra ämnen. Verket kröns med några symboliska gestaltningar i dialogform av bokens tema, framimproviserade av Hallberg i samarbete med medarbetare, framför allt William Crona.

Medredaktör har varit översättaren och essäisten John Swedenmark. ​Snöljus ​påbörjades, tror jag, på ett tåg mellan Linköping och Stockholm vårvintern 1978. Sommaren innan hade jag bott i Jokkmokk och sett de platser som skulle bli romanens rum. Därefter har jag aldrig varit i Lappland. Men boken påbörjades givetvis på många andra ställen. Den började i immunologilabbet på Biomedicinska Centrum i Uppsala, en vår när jag läste estetik, och trodde mig dödssjuk. Den började på en träbro i Hågadalen en vinterdag när ån hade frusit , men inte helt frusit, och jag stod där på ett par skidor. Den började när jag läste att det finns ett långt förlorat avsnitt i Codex Regis i skarven mellan Sången om Sigfrida och Brottsstycke ur det Gamla Sigurdskvädet, allt däremellan var tillskarvat i efterhand. Jag skrev i tidningar på den tiden och romanen skrevs på manusblad som gav två karbonkopior. Mitt virus visade sig i något annorlunda variant dessvärre finnas. Inget av det råder jag över. Läsarens läsning är läsaren sak. Helga skulle jag vilja skriva om igen. Hon var den första romangestalt jag var jämnårig med. /Lars Andersson, 1998
